These days a certain someone who doesnt have one arse to do in work is constantly nagging me to make blog posts so that they could leave comments...well yes!!!
I guess this is what having a bro-in-law is all about :) Happy Dale ???

EXAMPLE 1
So watching the Vh1 Big '06 Awards last night and d biggest online fame award went to someone that most of you all wudnt recognise unless your a blogger or you tube user. The winner was youtube's lonelygirl15. Her video blog caught more than 2 million views....

.....so Im thinking, WOW...look at how everything in the online world is creeping up into the reall world, video bloggers are getting Vh1 awards!!! And whereas before, only geeks would know who lonelygirl15 was, now everybody knows, whether you are into the whole Internet thing or not !!!

EXAMPLE 2
Another example is the shifting role of web inclusion in television advertisements. This is becoming a rapid necessity of product and company advertising, to include the website now at the end of an advert on tv saying "For more information log on to Company XYZ's website at www.xyz.com". The Pontiac car advertisement on tv goes as far as to show the Google homepage with the word "pontiac" typed in the search field and say for more information on Pontiac cars just google 'pontiac'! WOW!

EXAMPLE 3
Of interesting note, you can advertise your online company by advertising your url address in a television advertisement. An online company advertised themselves with a tv ad that tell you that you can now customize your postage stamps online with your own picture.

I foresee there will come a time when watching a tv advert will end with the url address will be a norm and an advert that doesnt give a url address will be deemed as retarded!!!!
What an honour it is for me to be amongst this generation of target audience to witness the inception of such an advertising role shift...to be witness to adverts before url inclusion and adverts after when url inclusion will be a norm :)

I would honestly prefer not to be born in any other era than today's generation - an era of technological redefinition!

Weird? Me? So Ive been told....for a variety of reasons:
i love Google and i even wear Google
i love butter n rice
i belch exceptionally loud for a girl
i hav a noisy yawn
i am always falling all over the place
i must have a pillow to hug up when i sleep
i lie down to take a '7' or a '3'

Weird as it is, I dont like ANYBODY to touch my pillow...furthermore I dont like people in the general vicinity of my bedhead area or the area around my pillow. Feet must be nowhere near my pillow/bedhead area else I will kill you........

My friend came over last night and when I returned to my room, I found him sitting by my bedhead with my pillow right next to his bothom........needless to say i almost near had a heart attack before I cast the confused and frightened lad out of my room!

My sisters and close friends think it is a joke to tease me by threatening to touch my pillow or rest their faces on it.............. this is not amusing, this is an act of unnecessarily raising my blood pressure peoples!

This is my weakness revealed.

So I went to the nightclub last night, just to chillax a bit, a stress relief from exams....

My friend recently informed me that I have a problem because according to some survey published, if you spend more than 3 hours a day online EVERYDAY then you are addicted to the Internet.

For the record, 3 hours is minimal time for me to spend online.

The first thing I do when I wake up from sleep(before I even go to the toilet or brush my teeth) is roll over from my bed to my pc chair and go online. I start my day online.

The first thing I do when I come home from class is go online. I relax during the day online.

The last thing I do before I go to sleep is go online. I finish my day online.

I get tizic if I didnt go online for the day.

I must check my mail at least once for the day if I am to survive.

I am always making mental notes of what would make an interesting blog post.

I cried when my sis told me this story over the telephone, I cried when i told my other sis, I cried when I read the newpaper articles..............sitting in my aparatment I cried and I prayed for this likkle angel and his grieving family. I only wish i could have taken away the pain and hurt he had to go through, its amazing I dont know this child and yet I love him.

ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE !

1am : me bawling and crying as if my mother had just died, talked to mommy crying, kaydine crying, neolz crying and stefan crying

4:30am : sat on the bench by LRC in the open expanse of grass there just crying till i had no more tears left, afraid to go to sleep because of the horrible dreams i might have

6am: walked back to my apartment, grief stricken and mentally drained and fell asleep

11am : neolz and william came to check on me and make sure i was ok, my eyes were red and swollen, i looked horrible as if i was cryin all night and i had been

4:15pm : went to uwi pool to take a dip with my frens but got blanked as pool was closing at 4:30

4:30pm : lied down on the grass at LRC in my bikini bra top and short pants alone with madasses neis and ny watching the trees, clouds and birds

5:30pm : us gals went and "sweat" that is played football by LRC with the boys on campus, serious kix, i mean me playing football and in my socks alone because my shoe soles fell off, i missed the ball trying to kicck it so many times and fell while running

8pm : finished sweat and decided to break into university pool and take a dip which we did with our socks, shorts and bras on alone, and almost got caught ! The water was so warm. THIS WAS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF MY UNIVERSITY LIFE, AN ADRENALINE RUSH AND THE ENVY OF LOTS OF MY FRENS..............FUNNNNNN !!!

8:30pm : we walked back from campus to my apartment dripping wet in our wet socks alone, other students in my street watching us like madasses and played waterfight all round the aprtment

9:30pm : the entire crew and rissa went by rav and played 3 rounds of pictionary till 4am, the gals versus the gals. kixx for days, ahms cant draw a rubber slipper -lol, matt thought a microwave was a walkie talkie or a lighter - lol. those boys lost everytime, even weed couldnt help them but rissa helped us, she was orn.

3am : ate the curry duck rav cook with too much salt then went home, went online to see i was indexed by Google again - woi woi!!! and then slept

THE IRONY - the worst day of my life for 2006 so far ended up being one of the bestest days yet !!!

RELIVING A PIECE OF MY CHILDHOOD

Member when as a child, a day at the beach meant romping in the water at intervals during the entire day, sitting and playing in the sand with a spade and shovel and building a sandcastle, even running around naked as you born with all your ding-a-ling (guys) and C U Next Tuesday (gals) exposed and not givin a dam...no cares, no worries...

Going to the beach meant funnnnnnnnnnn!!!

Now at the age of 23 going to the beach means worrying about:
-if you remembered to shave
-looking too fat or too skinny in the bathsuit
-deciding if too wear a 2-piece with a panty bottom or a 2 -piece with a battyrider bottom
-worrying about not getting your hair wet if you just straighten/perm it
-deciding if to take your cell with you on the beach
-worrying about if you will get reception on the beach
-deciding if you gonna bathe
-deciding at which point in the day you will bathe
- and tra la la la la, yadda yadda yadda, bla bla bla

I recently went to the beach and purposely decided to have some fun,the best way I knew how, to emulate a child....so I sat on the beach, borrowed a bucket and spade and I, Krista-Lee Bissoon, relived a part of my childhood. It was relaxing and fun and carefree. Fellow adults try it, dont mind the funny stares from people as they pass by!

WOW !!! This is an email my friend sent to me, he apparently took pics in 51 degrees one night and I starred in the background as you can see. We didnt know each other at this point in time though. Ironic enough when we did meet each other for the first time it was in the same club 51 degrees. Ironic isnt it ?!!?

This set me thinking....how many passers-by on the highway of life whizz by us everyday, and unknowingly to us, at the next bend/curve we end up colliding, and even end up becoming co-pilots for life !!!

What of the time wasted from when we first had overtake them or when they overtook us to the point of meeting?
What if we had met earlier then we would have known each other longer?
Maybe if we had met earlier in time, life would have been altered in some way?
Maybe meeting later is better in the clockwork of life that is so precise and exact?
What if our destiny is tied up in someone that we let just pass us by?

Think of how may potential great friendships whizz pass us everyday: passengers in a taxi/plane, people in a queue at KFC or a club or the bank, the person in all of your classes or the waiting room that you never spoke with.

There are no guarantees. There are no alibies. There are only ironies and serendipity.

Life is really the biggest serendipity and irony ever !!!

People are like snakes, you can love them, care for them, nurture them for years.....and then just like that they can turn on you.

Yesterday I walked past someone who used to be my friend. Only recently, we shared many a talks and laughs...now all we share is the same breaths of air, fullstop.

The thing is, it was so easy for me to pass this person straight, like if he didnt even exist. I didnt even look back at him, not once as he passed by, that it worried me. I worried myself. Is it that I have become so cold and hardened at heart that I reached a point of just not giving a dam anymore?? and even so, is that necessarily a good thing??

It set me thinking. How long can a relationship/friendship actually endure before it reaches the point of no return??

Then I remembered, that people are like snakes that can eventually turn on you, even bite you. I realised that I felt like that because a snake and all the ill-effects of his venom has no place in my life. This person turned on me and I was bitten once. Nobody wants to suffer from a snakebite a second time.

The year 2006 is in full swing already, pendulums of time are in motion and life's carousel of events for 2006 are making full rotations. The year 2006, just like my new blog, "out with the old and in with the new"...new relationships, new philosophies, new ideologies, new experinces, new people, new limits, new hope, new laughter, new smiles, out with the old and in with the new !!! (except for Google and Pooh of course)
